Dan Tan is a senior researcher at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories, Palo Alto, where he has been associated with the Streaming Media Systems Group since 2000. His research focus lies in adaptive end-points and infrastructure schemes to support streaming media, traffic engineering and monitoring in overlay networks, and video coding structures that supports error-resilience and adaptation. He holds a PhD from UC Berkeley, MS from Stanford University and BS from Brown University.
